Leyland Lynx

Introduction

In 1989, SBS introduced its only Leyland Lynx, and is registered as SBS3572Y. This bus has an Alexander PS body but with a Lynx front incorporating an unique tilted windscreen that is typical of British buses. This bus was used for Ang Mo Kio feeder services such as 267 before being converted to an employee bus in around 1997. On 31 July 2001, SBS3572Y encountered an accident at Yio Chu Kang Road. The front of the bus was destroyed. As there were no spare Lynx fronts, an Alexander PS front meant for the Scania N113CRB  was used as a replacement instead. Hence, the bus now has a full Alexander PS body.
